Why Why?

-but don't worry, a special friend in the sky loves you, sees your endearing and redeeming qualities, and thinks that everyone else is [insert a stream of invective here] - just like you.  Another poster suggested that you saw social value in this place, in your interaction here.  That's the sort of generous assumption a normal person who can't understand why you signed up would make, huh?

I could have used someone explaining attachment to me when I was a kid. By the time I graduated HS and joined the USAF, I had been moved 50 times. Military service continued that trend. When I got out I kept bouncing for about 10 more years. I was very shy and I was 36 before I broke my record of 5 years in the same State. When I applied to my current company, I needed extra pages to list all the jobs I'd had in the previous 5 years because I moved so much and couldn't list anyone not a relative I had known more than a year (as in still knew how to contact them). Because of that background I had no idea of how to maintain a long-term relationship and I was 53 before I was in a romantic relationship that lasted more than a year.

So I was handicapped in the attachment department, I saw friendships as temporary, easy come/easy go, and girlfriends as the same. Eventually I learned how to manage long-term relationships, but a therapist could probably have helped me shorten my learning curve a lot.

I hope Ahriman doesn't have to flounder with relationships for decades like I did

Doesn't that just mean I'm a unique person? I think you're salty that you're some commoner normie pleb and I'm a truly exceptional individual. You don't understand me at all, for one thing.

OFC you're unique, just like everyone else. Some people are unique in a way that negatively impacts themselves and the people around them. I assume that you think those qualities you just claimed for yourself are endearing, and redeeming...but to whom?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I had friends in Catholic school, so I would like to say those same traits that made me endearing back then still apply, but they don't. I was naive and shy back then, now I'm bolder and more egotistical. My current self is not as "magnetic" as my old self, in terms of attracting people. Probably because people thought they could take advantage of me back then, whereas now they can't.

RE: Why Why?
Yeah, that's probably it. Can't imagine what else it may be. I know that I assume that the only thing all of my interactions with every other person have in common is that they're assholes.

Still, I have to say, being a catholic does suggest that a person may be susceptible to being taken advantage of. It's their business model, after all. I suppose you could call it providing a Why? service, as long as you don't look too hard at it, too. Content creators with an aggressive monetization scheme.

I would love to do some content creating, but people would think I'm being too negative. Most people only want to hear the "sunshine and rainbows" version of reality, and I'm not willing to provide them with that.

RE: Why Why?
Or anything else, clearly?

What would you make this content about, being the opposite of sunshine and rainbows?

Is this something that features heavily in your ideas about the answer to the question of Why?

RE: Why Why?
If anything, it's the antithesis of "why"
