What the hell do any of you know about some Motown? Wink

So, imagine you're watching 13 Reasons Why when you've just watched a scene with a mop that hits a bit too close to home. How do you chase that so you can go to work?

Also, you gotta love the fact that they included like a dozen credits for the prisoner extras (who are even given their own nicknames) in the credits.

Add one name: maybe you are the "Madmozel"?
You know, the blonde miss next door, that love to use me <3
It's so lovely to show your stupidity in front of her, especially when she says "Maybe Joleesa".

Hypothesis: if you’re not sure about a given Muslim, just play him this song. If he reveals he dislikes music (especially if he considers it haram), there’s a non-negligible chance that he might be a radical.

If he likes it, he’s probably not going to be a threat to the infidel. If he just doesn’t get it, well, the motherfucker just doesn’t have taste.

In all seriousness, I suspect that Nusrat might be a good way to normalize Muslims in the eyes of someone who might not be inclined to like them. He’s a hell of a musician, uses his voice like John Coltrane played his sax, and as far as I’ve been able to find, he wasn’t a threat to anyone or anything more than a plate of Samosas or a bun kebab. Of course, it might help if you start with the albums he made with Michael Brooks. It’s probably more accessible than one of his 20-minute qawwals.

Is that from the soundtrack? That entire show had amazing songs all over. I've still not watched Season Two.

Here's what I'm listening to... I'm not crying, you're crying. Sad

No, it's just a relatively light-hearted song that I had just discovered recently that turns out to be a good counterpoint to Tyler getting raped with a mop. If I weren't on multiple antidepressants that would have interacted poorly with alcohol (and of course, if I weren't about to head to work), I'd really want a drink after seeing a kid getting a mop shoved up his ass.

And the last two seasons, well, there's just diminishing returns all around. The first season felt like a teenage version of The Godfather Parts I and II (structure-wise, anyway), so no wonder the others are closer to Part III. The messages are laid on thick with a really sloppy roller and the writing is just not clever enough to compensate, but not bad enough that you I stopped watching (at least that's just me).
