Well, here’s a unique take on the Goldberg Variations that some might find interesting:
Many players are content to play the Goldbergs on whatever piano they have around. Quite a few are content with only the most period-accurate harpsichords. This guy has a couple vintage keyboards on hand, but not the ones you might expect for a classical keyboardist. He starts with an electric clavichord custom-made for him, but then we see the Rhodes electric piano, then a Hohner Clavinet making a surprisingly rare appearance in a perfectly clean setting, without the sort of funky wah pedals that made it a favorite of Stevie Wonder et al, then we get two organs, both of the Hammond variety, and then, finally, a Roland Juno synthesizer.
Comparing the Universal Oneness of All Life to Yo Mama since 2010.
I was born with the gift of laughter and a sense the world is mad. One of my/mother/our late connections.

I have to admit that my late mother and I really had nothing in common as far as politics and living habbits. But occasionally we overlapped and in her late hours, she got this song. And ironicaly it was not my favorite. But, in here declining age, she found fun in this song.
It was a spoof of the Miley Cyrys song "Party In The USA" by Weird Al "Party In The CIA". But above all, this following video was our song. Jane(my late mother) and I had this in common since it came out when I was a kid. It still hurts that it has been 4 years since "Mother's Day". I really miss our car rides and loading up the CD player with ABBA songs. |
