Isn't as simple as corruption has inevitably found a way to monetize what should have always been philosophy, by poisoning our natural spirituality.
As TGN indicated, doing nothing does come at a cost. We need to explicitly teach our children that the chalice is poisoned. How can they know otherwise?

The answer to that is unlikely to tell us anything about gods and their privileges, but will certainly be a comment on you, and according to you, no less.
I must be a god then, with all this privilege. I mean I'm serious, but I'm not sure if you would understand.

Case in point. To you, and by reference of you, gods are things that extract value from a thing without adding to that value, by privilege.
That would be maltheism, if it weren’t simple self loathing.
