Contradiction or Forgetfulness

Ephesians 2:8 KING JAMES VERSION
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: {2:9} Not of works, lest any man should boast. {2:10} For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

^^^^^Here, Jesus (using Paul’s body) says that faith saves you. You don’t actually need to sell your stuff and give to the poor.
You are already suppose to be helping the poor but that is not part of the contract to get into Heaven.

Yes, but there's no contradiction. You'll go to heaven if you have faith alone but you won't get any treasures. That means that you won't get to be a holier-than-thou prat for all eternity, which is what Christian heaven is all about. This is why the rest of us are so desperately trying to get to hell.

So it is bit like playing Super Mario Bros.
In Super Mario Bros, if you don't jump and just touch the flag pole, you made it past the level. I think it gives you 100 points for touching the pole.
But, if you ran fast and jump as high as possible, I think you can get get a max of 8000 points + some explosions.

But, if I have to sell my stuff and give to the poor and afterwards, I get 100x more, that seems like one of those Nigerian prince scams.
