In what way does it help people?

How do false beliefs help you survive? In my experience true beliefs are what help you survive.

People are different. Some people need God.

Like the belief that the supernatural is improbable.

As opposed to the belief that the supernatural is probable.

Seemingly so but perhaps, at least, someday they won't.

Transhumanism, if it happens, will hopefully deal with people's fear of death in a better way than just belief in bullshit.

In my view, false beliefs are never a long-term solution. I mean, they're not even a short-term solution really. They're a short term crutch.

Yeah that's just an opinion. The supernatural isn't probable/improbable. It either exists or it doesn't. We won't know until we leave this world.

I think you need to pick a side and clarify where you stand. Do you or do you not believe in an afterlife? And what's that look like if you do believe?

Do you or do you not believe in the Christian god? Or is there another god that you believe in?

You seem to play both sides and the middle, depending on the day and the conversation.

I hope there's an afterlife where I can fulfill all of my (let's face it) evil desires. I do not believe in the Christian God. I am prone to making gods out of humans. I've even written prayers centered around a couple people.
