The two big issues with microreactors are 

1. Getting enough fuel to power them

2. How do we regulate them?

Should have gone nuclear a long time ago and used that energy to build our new renewable infrastructure. Oh well, chances missed.

I think poca was referring to the plan in the video... to build a bunch of mini plants to provide power to various areas.

Of course, security is a thing. And these small plants would have to hire security like any other plant, plus be subject to government inspections.

Like fossil fuels, nuclear fuel is non-renewable. It's just another short-term fix.

True. But it's cleaner. And it may help us meet energy demands until we get renewable energy going worldwide. All while not negatively impacting climate change.
