There are just some things I don't see as absolutes when it comes to rules and laws. Sure, a lot of them are there for our protection but some, like a person smoking some pot in their house is really not so different from a happy hour that includes alcohol. The people around me who smoke have a rule of their own that after getting high, they don't drive. I have often seen that not be the case after cocktail hour at home. In fact, the drinks at home are often the warm up to hitting the bar, club, etc.

RE: Don' t Snitch
This thread was never about absolutes of extreme. If you thought it was about turning in grandma for stealing packets of ketchup from a diner - then you are just an idiot or just looking for a cheap arguement.

It' s about those cunts that proudly proclaim " I don' t snitch" and follow that doctrine to include rape, assaults and murders....

Does that clear it up or do you need shorter words and pictures??

At no point, that I can see, did you allow for any gray areas. Reread your OP.

Shorter words and pictures would be wonderful.

Surprisingly, we can't read your mind.

To my knowledge, no one here has endorsed the idea of not telling the police about instances of rape and murder. In fact, I would be really interested in seeing ANY examples of people endorsing that outside of organized crime or gangs.... Dodgy

I agree that cops should rat out other cops that violate the rules. And yet, they don't.

Instead, those who blow the whistles are denigrated and said to be disloyal.

Funny, that.

Nor did I make it an absolutist stand.

If that were in question a simple " no exceptions?" would have headed off the train wreck that followed I strongly suspect some intended - as they always do...

The police are paid employees, whether city, county, state or federal. If they can't do their job correctly, they need to get a different one.
