As a former military person and military wife and mother, my experience says the worst place to go for medical care is the medical clinics/hospitals on Army bases.
We used to call Moncrief Hopital on Ft. Jackson, More Grief.
The head of pediatrics when my son was little was a dermatologist. I think I'd rather go back alley than show up at an Army hospital in general.
Oh, and I had to go off base to get my tubes tied. They didn't do that on base.

At best, any attempt to continue to provide access to this service while bans are in effect is just painting a big red x on where to make the next restricting challenge.
Hey, maybe they'll be stupid enough to start shooting at federal troops again. This time though I'd urge the Union to finish its march.

I do my VA treatments in the hospital at Temple a few miles down the road. I'd like to visit Hood one day, just because I'm interested in the history of armored warfare.

Biden renounced his previous support for that amendment and campaigned on a promise to work to have it repealed in it's entirety.
I'd totally forgotten about the Hyde amendment, thanks for pulling the short hairs.

Green Day frontman says he will renounce U.S. citizenship after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade
Thought it was ironic given that I got a Fedex delivery today of the vinyl copy of "Dookie" that I ordered a week ago and I'm currently spinning. It was only a couple of weeks ago that they had a "Fuck Ted Cruz" banner behind them when on tour in Germany (which I can get on board with), and when I saw them in Dallas a few years back there were multiple "Fuck Donald Trump" quips from the stage (which I can also get on board with).

If that's the case, then yes, give it a shot. I went through their museum area with my friend and they did have a pretty nice display of vehicles/equipment. That's still a pretty healthy trek from Temple, though.

Meh, I drove 200 miles each way to visit USS Texas (I'm interested in battleships as well) so no biggie, 30 more miles from Temple, still less than Houston.
Good to know it's worth visiting, thanks.

What sad times for Americans, especially for women. To not consider women's rights a top priority is maddening.

It's more than just maddening - it is, legally, a crime against humanity. The US needs to be sanctioned.

Yes, when put this way (being labeled "forced pregnancy"), it shows just how really bad the position "anti-choice" is. It's one thing to personally find abortion morally questionable, it's another thing to enforce a ban on abortion. The latter enables systemic abuse against a wide demographic group whose freedom and rights should be respected.
