RE: Living in Fear
Criminals should be shown no mercy whatsoever. Let them all rot in prison for the rest of their lives.

His prison is the inside of his braincase, and he's rotting away in there.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

To what degree should sympathy affect the law?  For me the law is almost binary; you did it or you didn’t do it. I understand the why a person does something might affect sentencing, but I’m trying to get my head around the justifiableness of a crime.

Allow me to assist you.

Stealing is a crime (I think we can agree on that), but stealing food to feed a starving child seems much more justifiable than stealing your neighbour’s laptop because it’s really cool and you want it.

Given the choice between mercy and justice, I’ll take mercy every time - giving and receiving.

All criminals? Prostitution is (most places) a crime, so maybe you should go to prison for the rest of your life.

The woman caught in adultery is judaism itself, none of the hellenized jews were without that sin. Or so the nuts believe. They could be wrong, ofc, but then there's the nagging bit about how it's been identified as a later interpolation.

Kindof shits on the idea that some "jesus" is telling us about justice and mercy, either way.

Some people hate transgenders, especially, transgender females.  I got a clear, long stare from an older woman, a complete stranger, last year that communicated, "I would kill you if I could".  I'll never forget it.

On the metro a few months ago I saw a young trans woman nearly get assaulted. A bunch of people stopped him, thankfully, because it was a relatively crowded car. Happens frequently, even in a place like DC which is considered one of the most liberal cities in the US.

To answer the poll: no, I'm a street smart, white cis dude. I don't fear shit. I smoke weed in front of cops, walk around wherever. The only times I've feared for my life have been due to medical problems, as I have quite the record in that department lol.

Bro I don't even know where to start with this statement. I don't think you even need anyone to point out how silly it is. You analyze your own statement and then come back and tell me why it's ridiculous. It should be obvious if you let yourself think on it for more than 60 seconds.
