The Absurd GOP
RE: The Absurd GOP
Melania Wants To “Leave Her Mark On History”

A Trumpworld source told us that after Melania recently appeared with fellow former first ladies at Rosalynn Carter’s funeral, she is, “feeling more sure of herself — as both her husband’s representative and her own position as a diplomatic figure after her positive reception at the Carter funeral.”

She also appeared at a citizens’ naturalization ceremony at the National Archives. Our source added, “Melania realizes it’s her time to join the ranks of historic first ladies and leave her mark on history… She feels better prepared for her potential role the second time around.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Quote:Gov. Jim Pillen’s administration has decided that Nebraska won’t be participating in a new national child nutrition program that could have delivered an estimated $18 million in grocery-buying benefits next summer to kids and their families.

The decision comes despite a monthslong effort by food banks and other advocates to persuade the governor to opt into the Summer EBT program.

I don't have to imagine it - weaponizing human misery is right in the centre of the wheelhouse of these pricks.

Conservative talk show host Jesse Kelly touted the Statue of Liberty as ‘a superb example of American architecture, boasting that nothing from Europe is remotely as good.

Which is odd because the Statue of Liberty was made in France as a gift to the USA, was it not?

What's so odd about a member of the modern GOP exposing their ignorance in grand fashion?

I think I know where you are getting at, but just in case, I was talking about their comment about the Statue of Liberty and Europe rather than the person who said that themselves.

That's the point: the comment demonstrates the ignorance of the person uttering it.

Yeah, I know. I just wanted to point what I said out.

But yeah, quite a dumb thing to say, if you ask me. That person seems not well educated.

A new textbook for Russian students claims former President Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election due to voter fraud committed by the Democrats.

Images from the history book, which is reportedly used by students in the 11th (graduating) grade, have circulated on social media in recent days. Marc Bennetts, foreign correspondent for The Times (U.K.), posted a page from the book on Monday onto his X (formerly Twitter) account, translating that the book said Trump lost the election "as a result of obvious electoral fraud by the Democratic Party."

Have you heard,
the absurd,
republican word?
Liberties deferred.
Tyranny preferred.
Undeterred
allegiance concurred,
taliban inferred,
welcomed and chauffeured.
Lines are blurred.
Truth is slurred,
through the herd,
shaken, triggered, and stirred
all for the glory, of the sultan turd.
