Netflix honors Zack Snyder by making him the first director to boast a profile icon on the streamer. The streamer has boasted profiles for subscribers since 2013, allowing household members sharing an account to keep their watch histories and "My Lists" separate from each other under their own profiles. By 2018, the profiles got a makeover, allowing users to choose from dozens of characters from Netflix shows and movies to set as their profile pictures, including The Witcher, The Sandman, Cowboy Bebop, Cobra Kai and One Piece, among others.

The streamer noted it was quite an honor as he is the first director to get a profile icon. It also illustrated its positive stance on Snyder's filmmaking talents, as it labeled him "iconic."

Sony used the PlayStation 5's DualSense wireless controller to drive drive a real-life vehicle onstage at CES 2024. The peripheral, perhaps not surprisingly, is useful for more than just moving characters around a game world or driving simulated vehicles in racing titles.

In this case, Sony showed off its brand-new concept car, the Afeela, which was created in collaboration with Japanese car manufacturer Honda. The Afeela was first unveiled at CES 2023. To showcase what he called a "Software-Designed Vehicle," Sony Honda Mobility President Izumi Kawanishi used the feature-rich DualSense controller to remotely drive the car to the center of the platform at Sony's press conference. As it was driven out, the Afeela's headlights lit up the darkened stage, and cameras mounted inside the cabin proved that the vehicle had no hidden driver at the steering wheel.

Kawanishi was quick to clarify that the DualSense compatibility was only a tech demo. Its point was to show Sony and Honda's belief "that software can define new function and value."

The global leader in customer data science, dunnhumby, announced the top retailer in its seventh annual dunnhumby Retailer Preference Index (RPI), according to Business Wire.

The RPI is a nationwide study that examines the approximately $1 trillion U.S. grocery market.

H-E-B was at the top of the ranking for the third time because the store has "the strongest customer value proposition for the long-term," dunnhumby said in a press release.

"This is due to their superior ability to deliver a combination of better savings and better experience/assortment, supported by time savings through superior digital capabilities," they added.
