You know what ISIS does to people. The religion demands respect, they're not playing around.

They can ‘demand’ whatever they like. I’m not going to stop mocking silly superstitions on the off chance that an ISIS operative is going to travel 10 000 miles to teach me a lesson.

So was Allah speaking to the Buddhists centuries before they spoke to MO ?

Quote:Other creatures suffer troubles and defects and cannot match Heaven and Earth; man alone can match them. Man has 360 joints, ...

Quote:perceptive, his hearing will be sharp, his taste will be sensitive, his oral expressiveness will be perfect, and all his three hundred and sixty joints will work well.

Quote:Human beings have 360 joints, nine body openings, and five yin and six yang systems of function.

Nathan Sivin, State, Cosmos, and Body in the Last Three Centuries B.C. [For Harvard Journal of Asiatic Studies]

Quote:Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism teaches that our existence is identical to the universe as a whole, and the universe as a whole is identical to our existence. Each individual human life is a microcosm. ... There are some 360 joints in the human and they stand for the days of the year. The twelve major joints signify the twelve months.

Well, not all of them, anyway.  Some "ancient" people thought that a child raping warlord went into a cave and communed with a god who told him...to tell them...what to do.

Then and forever more, no less.

OFC, this is just a silly story about people being silly. It's probably not any more true than it's own contents. It's pretty clear that big mo's right hand men saw the political value of the belief system. Immediately schismatic.... as they declared their own rightful successions to a very earthly throne on the back of competing claims over divine warrant. They continue to kill each other for two long dead princes to this very day.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It's nice the writer was able to accurately count joints, but that's early science, not prophecy. The writer wasn't ever the first to arrive at an accurate count:

Lü Pu-wei's Springs and Autumns (Lü shih ch'un-ch'iu) - of (ca. 239 BC)

Human beings have 360 joints, nine body openings, and five yin and six yang systems of function. In the flesh tightness is desirable; in the blood vessels (hsueh-mo free flow is desirable; in the sinews and bones solidity is desirable; in the operations of the heart and mind harmony is desirable; in the essential ch'i regular motion is desirable. When [these desiderata] are realized, illness has nowhere to abide, and there is nothing from which pathology can develop. When illness lasts and pathology develops, it is because the essential ch'i has become static.

Medical authorities disagree on the number of human joints:

How Many Joints Are in the Human Body?

In any case, NO ONE is born with 360 joints.

So if someone's family member died and they said something like, "She's in a better place now", you would then say, "Actually there's no such thing as the afterlife", are you willing to take it that far?

Boru didn't say all persons are to be mocked. Your speculation doesn't follow from what Boru said...as I'm sure you knew.

So...R00tKiT should follow ancient Chinese traditional religion, since they won the prophecy sweepstakes.

People of any age are a mix of perfectly rational science-based beliefs and utter horseshit. The Arabs were an exception to this rule.

Also, it's known China exported its medical knowledge beyond its borders. So there is no reason it couldn't have reached the Arab world and become known to its populous.

And one can't overlook the possibility that, even if true, Mohammed simply got lucky by picking the right source.
