Anti-Hijab movment in Iran

Independent polls made through the internet are pointing to the fact that bout 70 to 75 % are against mandatory Hijab and 84% want a regime change altogether. The true backers of the regime are somewhere between 25-33% (if at all). (From DW-English)

Although the Islamic Republic has declared that it will not allow it because of “the double standard attitude of the West” on this issue. The U.N. has declared that it will launch an investigation on human right abuses of the government during the demonstrations, especially in the Kurdish region where the regime’s crackdown has been especially severe (just like in regions with Arab majority population).
 
+ I am hearing Iranian Kurds making declarations like “Today I am an Iranian first, than I am a Kurd”. Nobody seems to be able to look into a crystal ball and make divinations about the future of the country. But I increasingly have the feeling that this religious dictatorship (that has been seeking to export its ideology to foreign countries during its 40 years of existence) seems to have exhausted its lifespan.

   Interesting events are happening at the Fifa World Cup in Qatar. First the Iranian team refused to sing the national anthem as a sign of support for the protesters back at home. One prominent member of their team had been banned from playing at the world cup due to his critical stance on the government.

   The U.S. Men’s soccer team is using an unideological İranian flag (an Iranian flag without the symbol of the “İslamic” Republic) on its twitter account while Qatari authorities didn’t let Iranian fans enter the Stadium with unofficial İranian flags (Loyalist flags or Republic of Iran flags with a star in the middle instead of the symbol of the “Islamic” republic).

   In the most recent event, mobs have appeared shouting slogans in favor of the “Islamic” republic in opposition with the usual supporters that appear in several pictures with “women, life, freedom” T-shirts and the name of Mahsa Amini painted on their faces and other symbols and shouts in favor of the protest movement in Iran.
