AD v. AF
I've heard someone here mention it, and I paid it a visit without registering. Anyone here a regular poster there? Your thoughts about it?

Some different people and opinions.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

I pop in now and then.

There's a very specific reason I don't make it my 'home' forum.

I will say that as much as they want it to be TTA.2, it's not.

I used to post on the Secular Forum over a decade ago, but, then there was a coup, and posters, such as The Everlasting God Stopper, got banned. Richard Dawkins used to have a forum, also, which he shut down.

Different strokes. Different folks.

The main differences are in the generalphilosophy of moderation, with AD's rules being more flexible, but at the same time a bit more subjective (though that's subject to how they are enforced, both here and there. AF has moved to a more flexible philosophy over time).

And there's distinctly separate communities with their own norms, expectations, and set of social relationships. AD inadvertently can be a little cliquey, likely as a result of a shared group identity. AF has moved in that direction a little, thanks to varying rates of turnover among different segments of the community, but lacks the type of cohesive group identity that many at AD share.

Interesting. I get Feedspot Today, which is how I discovered them, along with groups like the Australian Atheists forum; not sure if they welcome non-Aussies or not!

I tried making a forum;

Pastafarian Official Objections Place

The place had some activity but now it's circling the drain.

Yeah, I post more there than here. I only recently became active here again after taking a few years off.
