Being taken advantage of isn’t part of the equation, at least for me. If a homeless person asks me for money and tells me they’re hungry, I give them money. Whether they spend on food or booze or drugs doesn’t enter into it. I’ve done something to temporarily ease their pain, whatever that pain happens to be.

As for people who care not understanding life enough to avoid being used I'd say that's an unsupported statement made by someone who admittedly is speaking out of ignorance about what it means to care about others.

Why don't you let those of us who have some care for our fellows humans discuss its pros and cons, since we're the ones who know a little something about it? There's a good lad.

And that's why I go to therapy. It works at making the whole living thing a bit less burdensome. Because just shitposting is a crappy substitute for that.
