I’ve come across this news today:
https://edition.cnn.com/2022/11/24/europ...index.html
So From now on in Russia, I’ll be fine between 6500 – 80,000 Dollars if I decide to make Gay propaganda aimed not only individual’s bellow the age of 18, but also adult individuals.
If I am understanding correctly the word “propaganda” here is standing for thing like children’s books with stories in them about same sex individuals being romantically involved with another. (These are being referred to as non-homophobic children’s books or something of the like in Western countries). But If I am understanding correctly, talking or diffusing information to another adult individual on LGBTQ issues, like the sharing of facts / information etc. is also being defined as “LTBTQ Propaganda”.
I am literally tarring my hairs out here. So Being LGBTQ is not a state of being or phenomenon. It’s an ideology like environmentalism, or democratic-socialism and people are making a propaganda out of it. (These guys are really too good for me, or else I know too much already).
Second issue (which seem unrelated but also shows that populist currents have a problem with logic altogether): Yesterday I read a News about his excellency of the Bosphorus making a statement on the unjust embargo of the US on the Socialist island of Cuba. Just a historical reminder: The ideological predecessors of The One with the most Beautiful Moustache had even organized Friday prayers in front of the American 6th fleet in 1969 in the name of “Struggle against Communism”.
I just want to point at the contradiction of terms we are experiencing here. So Putin “is feeling closer to Islam in comparison to the decadent interpretation of Christianity by the West*” So that’s understood. Iran and Russia are sort of United in their hatred of the West (Whatever that means in the post-1989 multipolar world. It’s not Geography they are talking about. That’s something I’m quite sure of ). So Maduro is a Socialist, Who is allied to Russia who is whatever it is, who is allied to his excellency of the Bosphorus who is a “conservative revolutionary” (His own words not mine), who is an admirer of Jair Bolsonaro who is a fascist who “wants to protect Brasilians from the Evils of socialism” who happens to be in line with Victor Orban who is blocking the Accession of Sweden and Finland into NATO together with is excellency, who are also in line with creatures like Georgia Meloni who “Critisizes French and European Influence in Western Africa” who is well aligned with Madame Lepen who “believes in a Europe of Nations” (That’s no NATO, No EU anymore), who all have good things to say about the man with the very long table in his house as well as Mr. 0 Covid Policy (China).
So What I am seeing here is not only a scapegoat activity of a dictatorial Regime blaming everything on some foreign involvement or on some scapegoat of some Sort. This is a Historical fact. States that are based on the supremacy of fear and brutal force “need” some sort of enemy to throw in front of their miserable populace. In the late-Roman Empire is was the Huns for instance. For Iran it’s the U.S. or it’s Israel. And Putin seems to be unable to find anything but the LGBTQ community.
Yet, all of them are defying reason. They have an ideology, which is not an ideology. They have an enemy, which is a fictional enemy. They have friends who are just entities who happen to hate the same element as them because these are perceived as a threat to their brutal way of doing things. What I want to criticize here is their choice of words. How am I going to be able to even consider the meaning of their discourse if this discourse is full of conceptual errors and is therefore impossible to understand for anyone who is trying to understand what’s happening from a logical point of view?
I mean really?
- So homosexuals (no offence to anyone) have underground cells and secrets societies with special handshakes etc. and are seeking to corrupt Russian society by promoting their (fundamentally wrong) behavior and trying to turn every heterosexual individual (child or adult) into individuals who are just like them and are using propaganda
(Definition (Merriam Webster): 2) the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person 3) ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause)
As a tool to subvert these individuals into their cause.
And to return briefly to the Bosphorus. There has been a recent attack in one of the main streets of Istanbul Last week. No one knows anything about who did it and how the investigation is going on (because the first thing done by the government was to block internet access). And the second reflex is (of course) to blame it on Kurdish entities and announce fresh military operations into Kurdish controlled areas of Syria and Northern Iraq (just like the Iranian government blaming the same Kurds for their involvements in the mass protests that are shaking the country since September).
So I think the root of the problem is belief into reason vs. belief into brutal force and power to subvert the masses.
This in turn takes me back to my Art History classed some 10-15 years ago. The ancient Greeks loved this theme. In in 2nd century BC Frieze you can see a gigantomachy (Gods vs. Giants) scene on the Altar of the Temple of Pergamum which is now in Berlin. The Greeks loved these themes. The battles between Gods and Titans, The Battles between Greeks and Amazons or the battles between Greeks and Persians all symbolized the same thing: That’s the rule of reason (embryonic phase of the rule of law, embryonic phase of democracy, embryonic phase of philosophy) vs. brutal forces of nature (Survival of the fittest, rule of the most powerful, hegemony of myths and dogmas instead of reason and critical way of thinking).
So in Jungian terms: This is like the Giants wishing to re-enter our world even though they have already been defeated by Gods a little bit like the Norse Saga’s on the end of days.
(So it’s not gonna happen. They can keep dreaming )
