Brexit

RE: Brexit
Brexit was mostly about the idea that by exiting the EU, refugees (from Syria at that time) could be prevented from traveling through the EU into Britain.

RE: Brexit
Brexit was a result of decades of Euroskeptic EU bashing and lies pushed by people like Boris Johnson and before it was the Syrians Brits were complaining about Eastern Europeans taking their jobs and bringing crimes. Honestly, you can't really get most Brexiteers to give a straight answer on why they wanted to leave the EU. It's either going to be a lie like Bendy Banana's or them repeating the word "sovereignty and control over and over that when asked to elaborate will cause their heads to explode.

To emphasize my point I offer the following exhibit

"Change was inevitable"

That’s one of brexit’s sales pitches to the hoi palloi.  It is not what Brexit is about.   At it core brexit is about the fact that the common identity of Atlanticist west built up during the Cold War is giving way in the Anglo sphere to the fear that the dominance of the Anglo-sphere in western and world affairs is eroding and the EU is one such erosive agent.

Think what kind of larger scale agenda is indifferent to this loss or even indirectly profit from this loss.
