I begrudgingly joined a friend at a bar poker tournament yesterday. I had a lot of fun!

Not having played live poker in 10 years, and only playing cash games online since then, I forgot how fun (and simple) tourney poker is. I finished 7/27 (14 big blinds left, facing all in raise with 7 players left, my AK did not improve to beat my opponent's 99 - a coin flip). I shook the man's hand and left fully entertained.

I need to be less of a stick in the mud and get out more. Been a while since I had fun like that.
