Easy peasy - the one by Vance.

Really? A book that praises Trump and says he's a good guy, that says how a piece of bread contains Jesus, that god of the Bible speaks to him, that MAGA is honest and just and pure is easily more factual than that of a man who claims he encountered aliens?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Yup. The difference between the books is that Vance is simply a political opportunist, while Strieber is insane.

So you are saying that liars are more factual than crazy people?
But Strieber is probably also an opportunist who is just trying to write a bestseller by claiming to have met aliens like George Adamski did before him as did Betty and Barney Hill and Billy Meier.

Well, Strieber is also a liar, at least regarding the Texas clock tower shooting.
I’m not sure why this is so important to you, but ok.

Yep, my baby brother is still a jerk. He posted on my Facebook timeline that it's only 364 days till 70. I am torn between happy for the birthday acknowledgement and wanting to bop him on the head.

I can empathize. I’m going to be 70 in just 5011 days. Preying on my mind, it is.

Almost impossible to imagine today, in the prosperous boom years after World War II, companies actually advertised that they were giving you more product without raising the price, the opposite of today's "shrinkflation."
