He said, "Why would you waste a wish on something like that?", and I told him that the wish wasn't just for me, but for everyone who has to deal with roaches, and hates them. I told him, people living in impoverished areas, where there are typically a lot of roaches, would be glad that I made that wish. So I wanted to do something nice for them. My friend didn't understand why I would do this. I'm a much more selfless person than him. I consider it a point of pride.
I read "Muse" as "Music" at first, in which case, I would agree. Music really floats my boat.

Bad idea. The great majority of cockroach species never interact with humans and are ecologically beneficial.
Boru Well then, only the invasive kind that makes you call pest control.

One of the joys of being a northerner. Fewer cockroaches. Fewer pests and insects in general. I don't know that I'd ever get used to living down south.

That makes more sense. Household roaches are not only revolting, they pose some health issues for people.

I have lived in this house for 35 years.
Have not seen a cockroach to date.
Wasps, bees, blue bottle flies, ladybugs, stinkbugs and mice - one rat - and a few bats -but never a cockroach.....

That’s more luck/geography than anything else. The notion that only people with poor housekeeping get indoor roaches is a myth.

A myth?
Uh... No.....
Sure - you can get roaches in a sterile operating room - but you're more likely to find them in a dump....

It’s a myth that ONLY people who live nasty get roaches. Don’t say ‘Uh… No….’ unless you understand what I wrote.

Boru Medusa is mythical. Jesus likely is as well.
"Only slobs get cockroaches" is NOT a myth. It is a stereotype.
If you understand what you wrote I won' t need to correct you....

Quote:myth, noun:
2. a widely held but false belief or idea.
Maybe you might want to invest in a dictionary so that you don't end up looking like an idiot as often.
