RE: Random Thoughts
Now that Musk has allowed Trump back on Twitter, will Trump be expected to pay for his verified check mark?

Seems he hasn't posted yet, perhaps because he doesn't think he should have to pay.

I hope Trump DOES return to Twitter - his doing so would mean the death of Truth Social, yet another entry in the list of Trump’s failures.

Let it go, let it go. You know that Hitler was the most photographed politician while Trump was the most talked about one. Maybe if enough people ignore him he'll disappear.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Nope, not gonna do it.  I want to watch the crash and burn.  I plan to enjoy every minute of it.

The Republicrats are leaving the sinking ship and I love it.

RE: Random Thoughts
How many patches do you think one can put on a jacket? I ask this because I've come up with an interesting idea, based on this video about one of my favourite ersatz film genre:

Just replicating Ryan Gosling's Drive jacket is probably too easy and doesn't quite cover the sort of breadth I want. Before I came up with the idea, I trawled Letterbox' lists multiple times for movies with characters that are most often considered "Literally Me" (and if Letterbox' search engine actually worked in a sane way, it'd probably have just been once. So, here's the idea: Buy an M65 Jacket and start by adding patches to make it look like the one Travis Bickle wears throughout Taxi Driver. But I don't stop there. I trawled through the list of the 46 most-tagged films. I looked for films that Etsy showed had patches inspired by the films in question, and I plan to put patches representing as many of the films as possible. And noticing that there's two extremes for how benign or extreme they can be, I decided to put them into two categories. Maybe have the more benign examples on the left side, and the more extreme on my right. Here's the examples I could find:

More benign:
  • Drive (the scorpion back patch will be included)
  • Blade Runner (and 2049) [I'd like to add one over the collar that says "Cells interlinked within Cells interlinked", but I guess if I really want it, I'd have to commission it myself.]
  • The Batman 2022
  • Donnie Darko [Definitely one with the 28:06:42:12 on the arm)
  • Her
  • The Lighthouse
  • Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
  • Neon Genesis Evangelion
  • Big Lebowski
  • Watchmen
More extreme:
  • Taxi Driver
  • American Psycho
  • Fight Club
  • Joker
  • A Clockwork Orange
  • Falling Down
  • Scarface
  • GoodFellas
  • John Wick
  • Shining

Not sure, but I know the one for a group of hookers is ‘a flourish of strumpets’.

So that book was a #1 best-seller in Religion (it's currently at #2, just ahead of a colouring book about dicks). And this movie was the #1 most popular film in America for about a week.

What's your point?

Here's my point, Hebrews to Negros was published in 2014, yet it's number one 8 years after the fact, clearly in response to the Kyrie Irving situation, now explain YOUR reasoning in posting some random irrelevant movie in a sad attempt to obfuscate said point.
