It’s exposure to religion that creates religious people. It’s exposure to reason that cures them of this malady.
If people had innate religious beliefs, all religions would be similar, if not identical. The chief factor determining religious belief is geography.

Nah. Many religious people are exposed to arguments against their religiosity and many of them remain religious. Religious beliefs aren't innate, but religiosity itself, is absolutely innate.

Good thing they don't realize I'm killing them in my head.
The employment of that which cannot be seen, our thoughts are marvelous mental gifts.

Just saw an ad for a vintage Boone's Farm hat. Gawd, that was some nasty stuff. But when you only needed about a dollar to buy a bottle and you only had about a dollar...that was the go to.

Just saw a short clip where a dog walked up to its owner with a snake in his mouth and part of the snake wrapped around the dog's muzzle. Real backwoods country guy referred to the snake as Satan's tape measure.

My wife has an employee who is pescatarian. She doesn’t eat other meat for purely taste/texture reasons, not because of economic or ethical considerations. And yet people are always suggesting plant-based meat substitutes to her because, ‘It taste just like beef!’.
Stupid.

Good thing about making Juneteenth a national holiday in America: We're finally commemorating the moment when we as a nation finally liberated our slaves (well, at least within the former Confederacy).
Drawback of making Juneteenth a national holiday in America: the Joy Division T-shirt I ordered will stay in the Post Office until Tuesday.
I'm sure one is more important than the other.
