Quote:And they called it paradise
The place to be
They watched the hazy sun
Sinking in the sea
You can leave it all behind
Sail to Lahaina
Just like the missionaries did
So many years ago

No need to go there now
We now, in our new age
We fuck it from far away
High pitched
ah ah ah ah
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

I do the books for a maid service. I often see pictures of bad messes that would make you think the teams are in a pigpen. Well, today one of the team members sent in a picture of a really nice room in a house they are cleaning and there is a rather large pot bellied pig standing there on the hardwood floor near a piano.

The NAZI's were Socialist the same way North Korea and Ethiopia are democratic. Because the Nazi's were so straight dealing and honest and would never say they were something they were not to try and dupe the working class into supporting them  Dodgy

Republicans can be masters of plausible deniability and oppression via cooling effect

Quote:“hey, we didn’t say to ban Shakespeare”—but it makes those outcomes more likely by making the rank and file workers tasked with making thousands of decisions about content fear for their jobs.

The goal is never to overtly ban something but intimidate teachers and school boards into doing what they want mixed with an fanatical legion of angry wine moms who are  willing to screech inappropriate or pornographic at the sight of a person feet and sick the government on them. Give these puritanical loons an inch and they will take a mile.

I just watched on the news of Hawaiian people standing in a large circle praying.

What words are being said in their heads while praying to the thing that could have saved everything?

I can never understand prayer to a god after a catastrophe.

To me it’s like getting raped and thanking the rapist for wearing a rubber

^Days after I was diagnosed with breast cancer two JW women showed up at my door. I was not in the best of moods as I was trying to absorb all that was ahead of me. They wanted to pray with me regarding my diagnosis. I managed to not scream or swear but I did ask them why I would want to pray to the god that they think gave me the cancer in the first place.

As they tried to come up with an answer, I walked back in the house and closed the door.
