Picking up my last two checks from Subway today.

There were complications with the CNA class, on their end, but everything seems to be sorted now. I begin my training at the end of the month.

We should be glad that the unimaginative idiot who named oranges wasn't given the job of naming all fruit.

Stunningly, the color was named after the fruit, not the other way around!

(I know, I know, this is not the purpose of this exercise...)

That can't be possible. What did english call the color before they were exposed to the fruit? Oranges didn't come to Europe until the 1500s and probably didn't even come to England at all then, and if they did were pretty rare. They definitely would have a word for the color then.

I guess that's right, it was named after the fruit. Theu just called it yellow red before they had the fruit.

Had a brief interview this morning at the nursing home where I filled out some paperwork.

Then I took an Uber to a clinic to provide them with my urine.

Now I am back home setting up an online appointment for getting ink all over my fingers.
