Taking my daughter to the local high school football game on Thanksgiving morning. I suggested it expecting her to say "no dad, lame." She's surprisingly enthusiastic. Forecast is for temps around 35F / 2C. Gonna be brisk!

I would much rather open a misfortune cookie.

They play the same damn songs on the radio everyday. To start off the journey to work, it is always Shirt by SZA. Of course, this is the boyfriend's preferred station, but the one I prefer is not any different.

Seriously, why do they put silencers on revolvers in movies and TV shows when they are useless on revolvers?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Sound is very confusing for some. How it's produced, how it travels, how surroundings influence it. Cars peeling out on dirt is another fine example.

When your reasoning is private, I am going to gleefully imagine the worse-case scenario to appease my overactive mind.
