I'm trying to show how sanctimonious progressives are. As long as the immigrants are in Texas, they talk a good game. Now that they show up in their cities, they're crying to Washington.

New York City has gotten over 100,000 so far. The Feds don't seem to be very interested in helping them out.

I guess it's fine as long as the border states take care of them. The number of migrants Texas sent to New York and LA is just a fraction of the number they're dealing with.

Immigration is the responsibility of the federal government. It's the immigration department's responsibility. Just listen to the mayor of New York. It's the Fed that's letting them flow over. These cities welcome them with open arms until they come.

Suppose that several busloads of anybody showed up in your city with pretty much nothing? Are you truly that clueless? So again there is no inconsistency in their position. The feds can let migrants in and then it's the state's responsibility to deal with them when they wind up there not push that responsibility elsewhere and certainly not as a callous political stunt.
