I don't do any downloading unless it is an update for the OS or virus update. While it was a pain in the ass to reformat everything I didn't lose much.

I currently dual boot windoze and mint, I have some programs with to linux equivilent. My cctv software is win only - a weird format, not been able to view it with anything other than the manufacturers software, got it sort of working in linux using wine, but need to run the installer every time!
