1) But I can't see the consistency here.  If the criteria is about sexual proclivity, that would eliminate transfolk.  If the criteria is being outside heteronormativity that would seem to include asexual folk.

2)  The limit would usually be set at (within many progressive queer communities): sincere, with some reasoning, in a way that doesn't contradict objective external reality.  All social construct identities, especially gendered ones, would therefore be valid.

4) I think that depends on what is meant by 'normative' as opposed to just 'heteosexual'.  Heteronormative often seems to include more, and is a more expansive term, than just heterosexual.

Well, yes.  Like this post.  I don't really see the reason for it.

I guess those that experience a lot of external assholery, like women, gays, immigrants, etc, must all be assholes by that reasoning.

Or maybe some people are just rude sometimes for various reasons.

My opinion, I don't care. Maybe you should care less about others opinions, it might make you happier/content.

I fail to understand the obsession over labels that seems to pervade most societies. Everybody wants to label everyone else. Personally, I think people are people and take them one at a time, as they present themselves. No need to pigeonhole anyone.

Need Is an interesting question.
But let's imagine a scenario: an asexual person wishes to enter an lgbtq+ society, space, or obtain some legal protection or bursary etc laid aside for lgbtq+ folk. Whether they count as queer or not matters to them.

It's a discussion that occurs a lot in queer spaces, in my experience, and makes various queer magazines and news articles etc.

I typically don't consider my self rude, often sarcastic and flippant but not rude.

Enough for what? I'd prefer it if you weren't rude to me. I don't really care about anything else.
