It's not a matter of hating.  It's more of a disinterest in mother-type activities, coupled by a powerful interest in things that aren't motherhood.

I took steps many, many years ago to ensure that fatherhood was something I’d never have to be involved with.

Nothing against being a parent (my own were sweet, warm, wonderful people), but it’s not for everyone.

The whole thing is ridiculous from the word go. People who actually want to have children will be more than happy to cover whatever ridiculous child deficit must be in the minds of anyone trying to persuade or even force someone who deosn't want to have a children...to have children.

The path of least resistance. The path to the highest population. The path to greater personal freedom. Kids are the rare occasion where a single solution leads to all these objectives and is amenable to every party involved - whether they want to have kids or not.

It's almost as if it's a manufactured wedge. The catholic issue. Laughable to anyone in the us in living memory - when abortifacients grew in our yards and..somehow...we still didn't have a population problem™.

Meanwhile...any kid of mine that said any of the fucked up shit in this thread about my best friend - they'd get slapped in the goddamned mouth. I'm not saying it's right. Just that it's what I'd do right then.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Já, you probably don't want to entrust the survival of the human race to someone who says "Oh.  A baby.  Yeah, it's kinda cute, I guess --"

(spots neighbour's cat strolling down the sidewalk) "-- Kitteh!"

Nowhere did I claim that fertility rate and birth rate were the same. I think you are referring to this exchange.

So when your initial arguments are found to be outright lies you pretend you never used them.

Well done you.
