You know, I could potentially get behind some of the statements he made, about how it's okay to be proud of being German, or maybe to not blame yourself for the sins of your ancestors... but then again, this is the fucking AfD he's talking to. These are the exact people who should feel blame for their ancestors' sins, since their entire platform is built around them chomping at the bit to recreate those sins.

Has nothing to do with being german. Ethnic identitarians gather up to commiserate over the imagined persecution of their imaginary race.

I agree.

The world would benefit from science popularization aimed at educating people on the subject of race. It wouldn't convince everyone, of coarse but it would help. There is a great amount of ignorance on this subject.

Elon's selling his views to an audience that will sense his rhyming with their bigotry. He believes every word of it, and they do too.

Far right trash telling people to be proud of atrocities? Surprising as a sunrise.

During the 26 January episode of SNL, Weekend Update host Michael Che mocked Musk for the salute, once again drawing comparisons to the Nazis and Musk’s own Tesla brand.

“Elon Musk was criticised for his speech at a rally after the inauguration in which he appears to give the Nazi salute. But come on, Elon Musk is not a Nazi,” Che said of the man behind the much maligned Cybertruck. “The Nazis made nice cars,” quipped Che, referencing the origins of Volkswagen.

Elon Musk in Italy claims that race mixing is bad and Italy should just be for Italians.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Quote:MSNBC host Chris Hays tore into billionaire Elon Musk and warned against what he characterized as the “massively destructive” effect he is having on the information business.

“Oh, it’s just massively destructive. It’s pollution, pure pollution,” Hayes said during a conversation with the media outlet Semafor.

Hayes referenced Musk’s promotion of an unfounded theory about the attack on former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul as a “disgusting lie” that “even Republican lawmakers would joke about.”

Musk has since purchasing X in 2022 made major changes to the platform’s algorithms and content moderation policies.

He has at the same time vowed to use X to take on mainstream media outlets for advertising dollars and audience share, decrying what he and many conservatives call a longstanding left-leaning bias from corporate media companies.

“You are the media now,” Musk will often tell X users, a credo Hayes scoffed as during his conversation with Semafor.

“Congratulations, you’ve reinvented medieval village rumor-mongering,” the cable news host said. “Yes, you’re the media now. We’ve had that before. It’s the attentional upside of news without all the work beneath it. You see the pirating of stories from other places without the actual work to make sure things are true.”

The widespread circulation of unvetted content is dangerous for the public discourse, Hayes argued.

“There are tons of people, subject matter experts, who comment without a media filter,” he said of X. “That’s not what this is. What his site now selects for is people ripping off stuff and lying.”
