SpaceX launches are on hold after a booster rocket toppled over in flames while landing Wednesday.

The Federal Aviation Administration grounded the company’s Falcon 9 rockets and ordered an investigation following the predawn accident off the Florida coast. No injuries or public damage were reported.

It’s too early to know how much impact this will have on SpaceX’s upcoming crew flights, one private and the other for NASA. A billionaire’s chartered flight was delayed just a few hours earlier because of a poor weather forecast.

The rocket blasted off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and got all 21 Starlink internet satellites to orbit. But the first-stage booster fell over in a fireball moments after landing on an ocean platform, the first such accident in years. It was the 23rd time this particular booster had launched, a recycling record for SpaceX.

Billionaire is in legal trouble for poisoning people.

Elon Musk is in trouble with Memphis, Tennessee locals because his AI datacenter has been accused of polluting the air with unauthorized gas-burning, electricity-producing turbines.

In the letter, local advocates say that Musk's startup may not have the required air permits to operate the gas turbines and call for "enforcement action" if the datacenter is found to be illegally operating these gas combustion machines.

Installing and operating gas turbines without a permit would be par the course for Musk, whose tendency is to bulldoze people standing in his way.

For example, Musk's SpaceX has polluted and destroyed the fragile wetlands environment around its launch site in Texas. SpaceX has also used trickery to run roughshod over federal wildlife officials.

But Musk isn't the only person in the tech industry who ignores or just pays lip service to the public's concerns.

Getting back to AI datacenters, which are hugely expensive to run, Microsoft facilities have gobbled up enormous amounts of electricity and water from surrounding communities like in Arizona and Iowa, both places stricken with drought issues.

Musk is amplifying users who will incorporate cherry-picked data and misleading graphs into their argument as to why people of European descent are biologically superior, showing how fringe accounts, like user @eyeslasho, experience a drastic jump in followers after Musk shares their tweets. The @eyeslasho account has even thanked Musk for raising “awareness” in a thread last year.

On Monday, The Washington Post reported that Trump and his advisers have been privately talking for months about creating a commission led by business executives to identify thousands of government programs to eliminate in a Trump administration.

Musk, an ardent Trump supporter, posted what appears to be a photo of himself generated by artificial intelligence. It shows him standing at a podium that says on its front "Department of Government Efficiency." In the post, he wrote simply, "I am willing to serve."

Tesla and SpaceX have both received government funding.

Meanwhile, Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., wrote on X on August 13, "Who else loves the idea of Elon Musk heading up a government efficiency committee to eliminate the likely trillions of dollars of waste we have in our bloated bureaucracy? I can't imagine a better person for the task. Trump will make this happen!"

Trump said, "I'd put him in the Cabinet, absolutely, but I don't know how he could do that with all the things he's got going."

Trump added that Musk could serve as a consultant to his administration.

Elon Musk suggests support for replacing democracy with government of ‘high-status males’

Elon Musk has used his large platform on X to promote a theory that a free-thinking “Republic” could only exist under the decision-making of “high status males” – and women or “low T men” would not be welcome in it.

On Sunday, Musk re-posted a screenshot of the theory – which appears to have been conceived on 4chan in 2021– on the social media site.

The theory, written by an anonymous user, suggests that the only people able to think freely are “high [testostrone] alpha males” and “aneurotypical people”, and that these “high status males” should run a “Republic” that is “only for those who are free to think.”

Theories like this, which promote hegemonic masculinity, are often criticized for being sexist, exclusionary, not realistic and “toxic.” They are popular in alt-right communities.

“Interesting observation,” Musk said, in response to the post.
