Musk is known for his unrealistic promises that he doesn't deliver (robotaxies, hyperloop to O’Hare, trips around the Moon by 2018, coast-to-coast autonomous driving, the candy company, Tesla cars with a 1,000-kilometer range, robot butlers, SpaceX Dragon will land on Mars), but his spaceship is simply useless for anything and I already posted a study some months ago about how it will never go to Mars.

We'll see if it can pick up the slack left by Boeing's failure.

Creep, Elon Musk, now publicly offers to impregnate Taylor Swift

Tesla CEO and tech billionaire Elon Musk shared a post on X, which he owns, after pop star Taylor Swift endorsed Democratic nominee Kamala Harris as the next US President.
In his post, Musk referred to Swift calling herself a "Childless Cat Lady," a term used by Trump's vice presidential pick, JD Vance, to mock women without children.

"Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life," he wrote.

Elon Musk drew criticism Sunday after he wrote that “no one is even trying” to assassinate Vice President Harris in a now-deleted post on the social platform X following what the FBI called a second apparent assassination attempt on former President Trump earlier in the day.

Hours after the alleged assassination attempt in West Palm Beach, Fla., Musk quoted an X post reading, “Why they want to kill Donald Trump?” and added his own commentary, writing, “And no one is even trying to assassinate Kamala,” with a thinking face emoji.

Musk, the owner of X, deleted the post on his platform early Monday and maintained it was a “joke.”

“Well, one lesson I’ve learned is that just because I say something to a group and they laugh doesn’t mean it’s going to be all that hilarious as a post on X,” he wrote Monday, adding later, “Turns out that jokes are WAY less funny if people don’t know the context and the delivery is plain text.”

Elon Musk’s financial woes at X have Tesla bulls fearing he will liquidate more stock

Elon Musk’s financial headaches at X may be catching up to him—and Tesla bulls are worrying that could spell bad news for the carmaker’s investors.

Musk’s repeated outbursts against advertisers have dried up the main source of revenue for the loss-making company formerly known as Twitter. A recent decision to sue them for heeding his own advice to not buy ads on the platform hasn’t helped. At some point, he will have to provide a fresh infusion of cash to salvage his $44 billion takeover. And that might mean Musk sells Tesla stock to raise the money—hurting anyone who holds the carmaker’s shares.

This alone could cause the Tesla stock to lose between 5% and 10% of its value.

The last publicly available figures prior to Musk’s acquisition, from Q2 of 2022, had revenue at $661 million. After you account for inflation, revenue has actually collapsed by 84%, in today’s dollars.

No one knows how much longer X can survive, since the company doesn’t release financial results. But in November, Musk himself admitted X could face bankruptcy due to the advertiser boycott.

The problem for Musk is that while he may be the wealthiest man alive, he cannot simply plug financial holes in X using his own personal fortune, estimated at over $236 billion by Forbes.

That’s because it is almost exclusively tied up in his various corporate holdings that include everything from rocket builder SpaceX and brain chip company Neuralink to his latest startup, xAI.

None of these investments are easily fungible. Only Tesla is a publicly traded company. So the easiest solution at his fingertips is to liquidate a portion of his remaining 12% stake.

Continually dumping Tesla shares onto an unsuspecting market, resulting in the stock plumbing two-year lows, is after all how Musk financed the bulk of Twitter’s $44 billion price tag in the first place.

Got details slightly wrong it was Associate Administrator (the position just below the Administrator) Kathy Leuders who was bribed with a cushy job in SpaceX just after she "retired" from her NASA job.

Shortly before leaving NASA Leuders was sole sign off (as she was the highest ranking officer of NASA at the time) on the contract between SpaceX and NASA for their lunar lander, despite the SpaceX design being the least developed and least suited for the job of the three designs. It is even admitted in internal documents released under FOI that Leuders made the decision despite SpaceX being the worst choice of all three for the job. The youtube channel Common Sense Skeptic goes through this contract in detail in one of their videos, but unfortunately I cannot remember which one.
