I don't expect my personal boycott to effect any change in others' abhorrent behavior. I expect them to remove my participation in something I find abhorrent, and in that regard they've worked swimmingly.
This is it for me. Musk won't miss the $80,000 I spend on a vehicle, but I'm pretty happy not giving a single dime to him. It's not about hurting him, it's about not supporting shit I don't support.
If this refusal gets bigger, great. If it doesn't, I'm still fine because he hasn't gotten a cent from me.
I suspect that's why he's trying to infiltrate the government.

If only far right scum would remain on twitter then it would be irrelevant what idiocy musk promotes there.
Irrelevant? You do know who the U.S. President is going to be in less than a week, right?

Irrelevant? You do know who the U.S. President is going to be in less than a week, right? Yes, irrelevant. If only scum like him remain there then shit he will spew will be irrelevant as it won't reach anybody else.

I hate to break it to you, but if the U.S. President is preaching an ideology, there’s no way in Hell it can be considered irrelevant, at least in the Western World. The only way you can make the far-right irrelevant is by moving the right closer to the center.

Musk has cartwheeled his money and twitterati into influencing the governance of America. I don't think that's irrelevant -- though it may not last long once the thieves start brawling over the spoils.
All the same, I don't think "irrelevance" befits him.

There are different ways to interpret something as non-relevant.

I hate to break it to you, but without audience musk is nothing more than a clownish shit poster. What would it matter were he and other clowns post conspiracy theories on another mostly dead platform? Only thing that gives musk relevance are people willing to use his platform. If they would do sensible and moral thing he would be reduced to role of village idiot, screaming incoherent obscenities.

Were people to boycott his far right platform shit he spew would return to irrelevance. Now he is relevant cause millions can see dumb crap he posts but it is audience that gives him influence. If people will do right thing he will be starved as countless other trolls were.

And yet, even if Twitter were just reduced to just the far-right, that would still leave an audience in the millions. You greatly underestimate how powerful even those few millions would still be.

It is certainly possible that I underestimate power of far righters but sadly this hypothesis will not be put to test. I very much doubt that masses will leave Twitter.
