The book of Revleation predicts in end times there will be a 200 million man army from the East. Now recently China has said it can produce a 200 million man army. How do you explain this coincidence? Is it prophecy? Is it real?

IDK, we get alot of people purportedly convinced in the truth of their religions by the force of prophecy...but I don't find that interesting.  Rightly or wrongly, I get that.  What I want to hear from are the people who believed in the prophecies so much that when their religions totally fucked it..they abandoned them.  It's not a thing.  The jehovah people will be predicting the end of the world imanenently from here to..well...the end of the world.  That's as common as a potato chip.  I want to get my mitts around a true believer that really does take this stuff as instructive.

based on historic precedence,  a modern nation with largely normal population age distribution, fully mobilized for war,  can put  roughly one in 8 people into uniform to fight.   We saw that with germany, USSR, the US, etc during WWI and WWII.

So india could potentially put 200 million into uniform as well based on its population of 1.4 billion.

however china has a rather unfortunate population  age distribution for the purpose of mass mobilization because 40 years of rigid one child policy deprived china of a about half of the people of mobilization  age  of 18-45 that she  would have had.     to make it even worse,  it is socially much more disruptive to draft the only child for cannon fodder duty than if there are usually multiple siblings from which to chose a cannon fodder.     if there is one thing that will rile up the chinese population to overthrow the ruling communist party it would probably be a government effort to take away all the only childs of all the parents to send them into the meat grinder.  

so china is likely incapable of mobilizing 200 million for military service even if there is overwhelming incentive for it to do so.

Putting seemingly overwhelmingly large number of soldiers into the field has very little to do with winning, as Russia’s experience in WWI demonstrates.  For that matter Soviet experience during the first 12 month of German invasion in 1941 also shows this.    The men sent to die need to know how to accomplish something before dying, and the organization and infrastructure behind them has to provide them with the wherewithal to accomplish something before dying.

Otherwise there is nothing easier than killing untrained and poorly equipped men playing at war.      No matter how big is the opposing army, it is always possible to fire more bullets at them than they have men to absorb the bullets.
