China and U.S. Cold War.

Communist and Capitalist are in a state of cold war, because both side's seem to control half of the world. Were constantly building new weapons and such, but were the strongest nation in the world so I say for what? If China's not a threat, why are we building new jet's? Why are we making laser's strong enough to melt tanks into molten metal, what other country has military power of this level? Why are we making stealth drone's aka hunter killer's, to fight an army that doesn't even have a single radar meter? Our military budget is now 700 billion, think about it each bomb we drop is about a million. How come we need so much, when were so far ahead? Are we preparing for a world war where everyone's dead?

Our military is out of control, but for what reason? I like to think for our safety but I see were in the war season.

China ditched communism for capitalism like thirty years ago and besides the current regime is not going to last forever. China one day will be a democratic capitalist country like ourselves and a reasonably decent global citizen (like say Japan or South Korea).

Besides, despite the fact the current regime in Beijing are nasty. I don't think they like Nazi Germany or even former USSR for matter. The countries we should be worrying about are those in the Islamic world, with strong Islamic fundamentalist political movements which control some nations like Iran and could take over power in others like Egypt and Pakistan.

I don't see any war happening directly between capitalism and communism. Perhaps between capitalist and communist countries, but not as a result of whether they are capitalist or communist. Is there anything to suggest there will be?

True china adopted capatalistic ideal's but their not capatalist as they don't have democracy.
Germany would be on our side anyways, China is closely allied to the ussr and is catching up to us in technology and surpassing us in economics soon.

The cold war finished in 1991,with the collapse of the soviet union. Events lead to that event included the solidarity movement in Poland (from 1980) and removal of the Berlin wall and the reunification of Germany in 1989.

There is not now nor has there ever been a communist state or one controlled by communism. There are and have been totalitarian states with communist/socialist features. The ideology of communism is innately democratic. (read Marx).

No it's not obvious. I've seen nothing to suggest a war between capitalism and communism is obvious. Have you? Can you share it?

China is only allied with Russia, Iran and N'Korea and other various countrie's, has been recently creating technology to counter our's, is growing economically larger than the united state's, also they have taken an agressive stance toward the U.S. near their territory. Maybe it won't be a full out war because it would have to involve nuke's, but is diffinantly a cold war. China only vowed to take back Taiwan.
