Who should be afraid? And what should they do?

Marx said that history repeats itself twice: first as tragedy, then as farce. And yet, it looks like Trump’s doing it exactly backwards.

Trump et al should reflect on what happens historically when people have nothing left to lose.

Normally American politicians are far more focussed on domestic issues than foreign policy. Trump shows utter ignorance regarding anything beyond his own nose, so I'm hoping the threats against every other country (except Russia) amount to nothing more than a distraction from what he's doing domestically.
Much of what he has done comes across as a gish gallop, as such we're trying to pick out the important bits.
Recession is essentially inevitable at this point, he's nothing short of a walking disaster economically.
The Yanks have mid-terms in 2 years, if those get "postponed" for whatever excuse you know you've had your democratic rights taken.

Indeed, they will have to skew results in order to avoid the backlash from the economic downturn I am sure is coming.

That's one of the things that worries me.  I don't know if he'll be able to get away with postponing elections.  I honestly don't see anyone attempting to change the midterms, but I can FULLY see the fat orange shitstain finding some reason to postpone the 2028 presidential election, just so he can stay in the white house.  I don't think he'll have enough support from other elected officials, from the military and from the people.  If, on some off chance he pulls that off, I can see the west coast, new england and several great lakes states trying to secede (maybe they'd try to join Canada?).

Ultimately, Trump is only good at one thing: promoting himself.  His mix of wealth, narcissism and confidence really make people think he's someone they should try to emulate.  But they're wrong; he's a terrible businessman who's only kept afloat by the fact that our economy makes sure wealthy people never really go broke.  He's terrible at governing; narcissists usually are, due to the fact that they're so focused on self aggrandizement that they don't notice the real problems that need to be dealt with.  He surrounds himself with so many yes-men that he doesn't even notice the mistakes in the decisions he makes.
