So about this so-called Epstein list

So about this so-called Epstein list
I am putting this here because I do think this warrants skepticism big time. At least without further context.

But I want to be clear, since it's possible I haven't delved deeply enough into the relevant details, but why are we expecting there to be some damning client list that was owned by Epstein? Do we actually know such a list exists, or it's just people making dumb speculations?

It’s not an unreasonable supposition. Criminals are known to keep records of their criminal clients as a matter of self-preservation. It’s an if-I-go-you’re-going-with-me sort of thing.

I guess when you put it this way, it's a plausible supposition. But I do think that when people demand that the list be released, that the level of confidence implied (that the list exists) is unwarranted and is characteristic of a "conspiracy theory" kind of thinking.

Furthermore, just because something is plausible doesn't mean it's likely. And while it may be true that criminals are known to keep records of such things for self-preservation, why are we expecting a singular concrete list of names exactly (whether as a transaction kind of document or detailing what each of them paid for specifically), and especially one that hasn't yet been confirmed exists after all these years?

It's plausible he may have used photos and/or video footage instead to blackmail them (if he felt the need to blackmail), which would be more damning than some list. So why then a list?

I seem to recall Bondi saying the list was on her desk...suddenly it not only disappeared, it didn't ever exist.

The conspiracy is 'where the fuck did the list go?' and why did it get gone?

There was never a list, and trumpco knew that - but they also knew that their base loved to make conspiracy mashups about the list. They fed the beast.

May not be a list, but I'm sure there's other stuff that powerful people don't want to see the light of day. It's long been a truism that the clients tend to face no punishment.

I don't think a client list exists per se, but I believe reams of evidence of associates and clients exist. I also believe that few in power in this administration or perhaps the prior are interested in allowing them to see light of day because of who they would implicate.

I'll be surprised if anyone other than Maxwell sees the inside of prison over this, and I wouldn't be surprised to see her either pardoned or eliminated.

Accessing Epstein and Ghislaine's (spelling?) phones, laptops, and other devices surely hold information that could easily be used to compile a list of like-minded people who ran in that circle. From names to phone numbers to photos. There is no way these people didn't leave information in this day and age. And since this behavior seems to have gone back many years, the idea of an actual list like a little black book is not outside the realm of possibility.

Little black books do have a way of disappearing, though. My mother had one for keeping track of which one of us children had borrowed money, and where they were on paying it back. When we convened at her house the day after her death, that little black book had simply evaporated, and nobody had a clue where it went. My two younger brothers who were mooching off of her were obvious culprits, and they had many thousands of reasons to make it disappear. One can hope that such a book appears, but I consider it unlikely. Their online footprints, though, should be fairly easily accessible, I hope.
