There are those who think that life has nothing left to chance
A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance
A planet of playthings, we dance on the strings of powers we cannot perceive
The stars aren't aligned or the Gods are malign, blame is better to give than receive
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose Freewill
There are those who think that they were dealt a losing hand
The cards were stacked against them they weren't born in Lotus Land
All preordained, a prisoner in chains, a victim of venomous fate
Kicked in the face, you can pray for a place, in heaven's unearthly estate
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose Freewill
Each of us, a cell of awareness, imperfect and incomplete
Genetic blends with uncertain ends on a fortune hunt that's far too fleet
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill
I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose Freewill
Neil Peart(,one of us,) wrote a ton of great lyrics. Some are more direct than others but most have a subtle hint against religion, authoritarians and the corporate assholes than rule thew world.
If you are not yet familiar you should read his books.
He was an outstanding author and someone who thinks like myself...

More than anything else, he was a thinker (a big reason why he was such a monstrous drummer, he thought through his parts). Agree or disagree, you better bring your A-game. His lyrics helped me through some patches, to be sure. Didn't hurt that Alex and Ged wrote such great music to lay as a bed for his words.
I've read Ghost Rider, which only solidified my opinion of him as a thoughtful human.

Mods/Admins: A bunch of these links don't work and it's obvious why. An additional 'http//' is being added as a prefix to the posted link. I imagine you can fix this manually but perhaps the root problem should be addressed.

Gosh, that's been around for years. It's great to have new members, even if they don't know the quirks of the system.
When I post vids, I simply highlight the prewritten "http//" and then paste my link over it.
You're right that it's not a hard fix. Can't be more than removing a line or two of code.

Yeah, me too. But Boru himself made that mistake. If admins are falling prey to this issue, obviously newbies are going to run afoul of it all the time. I'm guessing even admins don't have access to the PHP code. In case that is not the case and it's a case of us not having any admins familiar with PHP, I'm sure there are plenty of members here (including myself) that do and we can help.

Right, I'm just offering an end-user solution.

Funny, every one of the links in the thread is working fine for me.

(Bold mine)
What a nasty comment. Boru does NOT make mistakes. I'm going to sue you for twenty billion dollars. No one's ever seen a lawsuit like this - it'll be the most beautiful lawsuit ever.
You'll be hearing from my lawyers in about two weeks.

I long for the perfection some people have reached in their lives. I fear I am running out of time to reach that goal.

... but our curse is captured in this line from Bob Seger: Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.
