Why there is no reason to believe in evolution

Why there is no reason to believe in evolution
Most people believe in evolution because they were taught or indoctrinated into believing so, via a mass education system which provides just the bare minimum needed to get people up to the level of being able to fill out a job application. Just as how if they had been born in the middle ages and been taught to believe that the earth was the sentence of the universe, they would be believing that too.

I mean, sure, there are evolutionary biologists who've spent time studying it, and people who've actually read science books on their own, but the average person likely hasn't. Not to mention that much popular information about evolution may be outdated and unreliable, possibly dating as far back as the Victorian era, and wouldn't even be up to the level of cutting edge information about evolution and physical sciences anyway, so what little information about evolution that they possess may be entirely unreliable.

Therefore, my conclusion is that there is no reason for many people to believe in evolution, unless they're merely a sheep and mindless believe and parrot everything that they were taught as a child.

RE: Why there is no reason to believe in evolution
A cheap variation on "evolution is a religion too" argument. There's also a shitty ad hom tucked in at the end of your screed.

Anyone with a college-level science education has studied the process, and it's only the religionistas who deny it, not for reasons of data and facts and study, but because it undermines the doctrine of creation.

Your conclusion is horseshit, too, because it's based on flawed premises. It's almost as if you haven't heard of genetics or modern synthesis. Thankfully, scientific progress is not based upon the opinion of the average person. That's because facts don't care what you believe. And yes, you are a thoroughly average evolution denier.

RE: Why there is no reason to believe in evolution
Is there no reason to believe evolution is true, or did a trickster god give us every reason to believe evolution is true, or did a tinkering god use evolution to fate us this way?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Evolution? What's that?

I was indoctrinated into believing the theory of evolution was BS invented by Satan to ensnare us. Then I gave myself a basic science education.

The grand thing about evolution is that it’s not subject to belief or disbelief. It’s a fact that you can accept or reject. Kind of like gravity or plate tectonics.

RE: Why there is no reason to believe in evolution
So this guy claims there is no need for people to believe in biological evolution and not because it's true or not, but because they were "indoctrinated" into it and they didn't read a book about it but only heard some untrue stuff about how it works.

One really wonders if the OP is a troll or a complete moron.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
