Theism can only be chosen CC. Atheism is what you have to begin with, it's not so much a choice as what you are before you make a choice.

Well my wife tells me it's possible to understand enough and make a choice at that age, although when you reach your formative years further understanding is required of the questions you will commonly have which leads a vast percentage to abandon their childish beliefs. Not that those childish beliefs were wrong, just that they didn't sustain the adult questions.

My mistake, let me clear things up.
From the start I never followed any religions, and only until now, when I've grown up and religion makes up our social identity have I classified myself as atheist. Yeah you guy's are right, it wasn't actually "choice" since I didn't convert. Regardless it's still my belief. Why do I base my belief on atheism through science? Because science, from my perspective is the only unbiased understanding of the universe we see. Evolution being an interesting theory. Of course there is a god. That is undeniable. But we aren't the "children" of this so called god, or whatever those religious texts say. The way I see it, the void itself that the universe is expanding within is the god. In a way, nature. This is just my generalization of god, once again not the type of god who you pray to and he makes your wishes come true, but a "god" which in sense forces which make up the laws of the universe. I like Chemistry best, I do study also Physics and Biology in school but since I'm not too good in maths my physics is weak (although I like astronomy if you could classify that as a part of physics), and I just find Biology plain boring (except for Evolution, I mean seriously... all these discussions about plant cells and diagrams put me to sleep :/). We respect intellectual honesty here more than beliefs or non-beliefs.
Or Deist even, certainly not atheist!
Or maybe this is someone like me. It is undeniable that there is a God. But then, it is also undeniable that there is an <insert whatever>. It is, therefore it is. Circular logic that requires faith, the lot of it.
