NO. That's the wrong definition of the word 'deny'. You are using it to mean the non acceptance of something being offered whilst Napoleon is using it to mean his personal rejection of a claim that is being made.

I can't deny an ice cream from you without you presenting the ice cream to me. We have no knowledge of the unknown, or it wouldn't be the unknown. Man you're being silly. DENY: 1. to declare (an assertion, statement, etc) to be untrue You're assertion is that god exists. YES? I am declaring it untrue. YES. You're confusing what i'm denying. I'm not denying that you hold your moronic belief. I'm denying that such a belief is true, which i can do time and time again. I disagree, the difference between the universe being intended to exist or not is a pretty big one. Most of my ontological concerns about 'personal theism' are equally applicable to deism.

Two types of atheism: denial and abstinance. Denial is a claim. I was only joking anyway

The fact that none of these definitions says that you need to understand it, would logically suggest, THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO UNDERSTAND IT. YECs deny evolution and yet they do not understand it beyond their dogmatic characterizations. Secondly, Why not tell him in your own words what god is before you claim that he does not understand?
