Playstation Notwork

Sure, they bungled up online games, but I was never directly affected by that, so it was mostly a nonissue to me. However, when the PS3 came, it couldn't play any of my massive game library from the PS2, it shipped with very few good games that I couldn't get on my Xbox already (it did a poor job of convincing me which platform to play on), it removed the OtherOS after it shipped and screwed with a lot of people's reasons to buy it (even the military), and it bogged down my ability to play their games with downloads of a gigabyte and sometimes more after I had already purchased the game (is why i don't play heavy rain or Uncharted 2 again: that download is unstomachable).

Well you can play ps2 games if u have the 60gb version.

The thing that pissed me off, is i got the YLOD on my old 60gb, so i bought a 250gb slim. But you can't play ps2 games on this!

I don't know, i've loved sony for so long, and the ps3 i still think is as good a system as xbox, AND online will always be free, so i can't complain at that.

I just wish these big companies respected their fucking customers more and implemented a secure system in the first place.

I can't really comment on the downloads, for my ps3 i've thought they were always fine.

Sae's internet works on a system of intricately strung fishing wire through the permafrost. Downloads are delivered by husky whipping explorers who've lost their way.

If. I don't. I have one that is something more than 200 GB.

Plays original playstation games. Does not play PS2 ones.

Yellow light of death?

Somehow it doesn't sound nearly so cool as the red ring of death... but what can you do? Smile

I want online: I have computers. 15 dollars a moth or whatever is no a difficult sum to come up with. Take out 3-4 meals in a month, and you have it. Reason I don't respect people that can't hold a 15$/month subscription due to cost.

Fr0d0 gave my internet a compliment. Do you know just how many eskimos I have spinning a wheel outside to generate this houses electricity? Five. And they are on 8 hour shifts with 10 more eskimos.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam

Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word

You should switch to a 24 hour compressed work week schedule; 12 hour days, 7 to 7:30(to allow for a 30 minute passdown between shifts), 3 on 4 off then 4 on 3 off. It would provide more power, consistently during the 24 hour day, and you could sell some to your neighbors. Smile

Yeah i agree it's stupid as fuck. I like the way they don't tell you when you're buying the console that you can't actually play ps2 games, even though they advertise it like you can.

Might not sound as cool but it's still a bitch. I'm the only person i know that's had their ps3 get it. I know tons of people who have had the RROD.

I know what you're saying, but paying is paying. I think when you spend 400 quid on a console then the companies can afford to give you online for free. It's just a case for me of microsoft milking their customers.

Sounds like a nice setup.

RE: Playstation Notwork
Despite the no less than four red rings of death that have ended my time with my various 360s, I still like XBox better and don't bother with Playstation anymore. My brother is totally pissed about this, though. I think what pisses him off the most is the lack of communication from Sony about it. He says they have had the same message up for like three weeks.

FOUR! You kidding!

lol, i'm trying not to post a fanboyish comment at that.

Anyway, yeah that's probably my biggest issue, the communication. They've sent me one lousy e-mail, not really giving much information.
All i want is a genuine time frame of when it will be back up, i don't care if i have to wait another month, JUST TELL ME!
All of this leaving customers in the dark is just going to alienate even more of them, all they need to do is keep people posted about what is going on.

Nope, not kidding. Thankfully, I got me some insurance at the game store, so I still only paid for one of them.

It is really bad business, but I think they figure no one is going anywhere. They know how addicted we gamers are.
