If he's 18 or over & doesn't have a lease with his parents, he *could* make life very hard for them by just refusing to leave. Evictions can take up to 3 months, at least where I live.

If he's 18+ years... what was he still doing in his parent's home in the first place?

The school's attitude is quaint, "We've been bigoted assholes up to this point and nobody minded, why can't he just shutup and we can go back to sucking."

Go to that link and watch the horribly biased local news report on this situation.

I am beginning to genuinely fear for this boys life, and the principles and teachers who are participating in the news circus are doing nothing more than trying to incite harm upon this brave boy.

If you dont think he is brave... then by all means stand up and do what he just did

Also, many of those christians say "if he doesnt want us to pray, then he doesnt have to pray." But that is NEVER true. Surely a Christian will see you, get offended that you didnt take your hat off or bow your head.

Apparently we atheists have the "choice" of not only being forced to participate (because if you walk out before and come back after, they will single you out as well), but we also have to close our eyes, remove our hats, and bow our heads. In other words, look exactly like we are praying.

Are we allowed to think "This is bullshit?" when tey are praying, or do we have to think respectful thoughts as well?

It would be inappropriate of me to friend him along the lines of 'Well done, don't get dead.'

So afraid I won't. I'll leave you supportive people to it Wink

I don't know know if they prayed at my graduation as I chose not to waste a perfectly good afternoon on that nonsense. But I'm really sick of our current obsession with getting offended over every little thing. It's nauseating.

It's unconstitutional. Even though they were told to keep their mouths shut during that period of time, they ignorantly went on with the prayer. In my opinion, it was like a "fuck you non-believers".
I'm fine with voluntary praying, but mandatory praying is just a no.

Actually, if he is keeping out of sight, it's because he's ashamed of his followers and all the cruelty and ignorance they're responsible for promoting in his name. If I were him, I'd want nothing to do with them."
