Boston Phrases/Words
I'm copying from Adrian who posted an English version on his blog and I thought it would be fun to do a Boston one and see how many of you English folk get it. Big Grin

To be clear, these words are very specifically to Boston, Massachusetts and the surrounding areas. I looked this up and was surprised that some of these words are specific to Boston, I think they're obvious, so I want to see how obvious it is to you guys.

Also, to be fair I didn't spell them the way the sound which was how it was on the website I got these. Boston is infamous for dropping "r"s so words ending in ER sound like "Ah" So "Cellah, Bubblah, Blinkah, Keggah". I also picked words and phrases I use myself with one exception, because not all of them on the site I use regularly. The one exception is one I find amusing because when I learned it I thought it was dumb, so I included it. Big Grin

RE: Boston Phrases/Words
BTW, Spuckie is the only word I don't normally use even though I love it. I don't think it's used as much as it used to be.
