Fun stuff, great memories, I imagine.
Trying to update my sig ...
Meh, never went to prom or any of that stuff. High school in America is terrifying.
Glad things went well though.
We don't have 'proms'.
Australia has SCHOOLIE'S WEEK! Our school year ends in November, just in time for our summer. Schoolie's week happens all over the country. Thousands of year 12 boys an girls invade a series of coastal towns for a week long party. There is much drinking and rooting, with a high police presence, but usually very few arrests-they tend to be of predatory adults, known by schoolies as "toolies" I live in South Australia. Here the event is held at Victor Harbour, 50 miles South of [/php]Adelaide.. Quote:History of Schoolies Week http://www.schoolies.org.au/history-of-s...s-week.htm
It's never a real party until alcohol or pot or whatnot is involved...
cool.
Wasn't allowed to go to prom when I was in high school. My father didn't approve of dancing, music .... actually anything remotely fun and/or enjoyable. Made up for it in my 20s. |
