Murder in Michigan

RE: Murder in Michigan
I live in Muskegon, which is 30 miles north of where this all went down. My wife and I watched the pursuit and the following stand-off live on the local news stations. It was both the most exciting and most scary thing that has happened in this area... like ever. At least the hostages made it out alive. I didn't hold much hope for them while it was happening. Sorry that the same cannot be said for the seven people this asshole murdered.

Agreed. I own several firearms. I have no wish to kill or injure anyone, anywhere at any time. I do understand Min's position. Too many fucktards can get their hands on a black market firearm and its fair to say that not enough restrictions may be in place, but we didn't start banning box-cutters when a handful of nutbag muslims used them to hijack a few airplanes and kill thousands of people. We reviewed our lack of security, revamped it, and started doing a much better job of policing those who have access to an airplane. That's what we need to do with guns. Much better restrictions, tighter controls, and harsher penalties.

Outlawing guns would be unconstitutional, and I find it EXTREMELY hypocritical to hear people say that we should do just that while screaming that their constitution is being violated on some other issue like prayer in schools. We don't let the christians get away with cherry picking their bible --- we should be held to the same standard. Taking away my right to own a firearm just because some fucktard couldn't deal with life is cherry picking the constitution.

I don't want to get too terribly bogged down in the politics of this, but I'm damn glad we didn't even have to waste an extra dime on the cost of a bullet on this piece of shit in Michigan.

Meh, I would have been happy to foot a portion of the bill to keep this guy fed and housed in jail, as long as I could be assured that he was being raped nightly by some 300lb gorilla named Bobo.

Perhaps we need to start a new bill here in Michigan. We can call it the GARB, for guaranteed ass rape bill.

Think big, federal bill, I'll sign the petition.

You americans and your guns.

You have no idea of the hoops i have to go through just to get to play airsoft with a realistic electric gun.

I've gone 4 times totalling 12 hours of play and still cannot buy a realistic gun, my current weapon is bright orange, which is a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to sneaking up on people.

Anyway the reason we have these laws is to save lives and it does.

I agree. Are we going to start banning kitchen knives, gasoline, matches, etc.? The fact of the matter is, if a person is going to kill another person, he or she will find a way. Murder has been around long before guns. You might argue, well there is more murder now. That is true, but we have an insane population now as well. If we keep going this way, we're all going to go Easter Island, guns or no guns.

I'm curious. How many times does it have to happen before you've reached your quota of bloodshed? When do the 30,000 gun deaths per year stop being the actions of "a few?"

I honestly didn't think I would start a gun debate with this thread. Clearly I should've seen that coming, but it truly was not my intent.

I thought we could address the lunacy of the gun toting assbag rather than the circumvention of the US Constitution thanks to that assbag's actions.
