RE: Hello!

Quote:I want to clarify that evil cannot come from God. Lucifer rebelled and created evil,

Who designed and created Lucifer?

Quote:God only created the potential to do so.
God is all knowing, he knew what would happen with that potential. There for, god is responsible.

Quote:So, according to you logic, a man who was raised a little gentleman and left the house as one decides to kill someone is perfectly innocent?
Please highlight where in my post that mentions that? None of that made any sense.

Quote: Since the parents brought him into the world and ultimately given him free will by doing so, they are guilty of first degree murder. That makes no sense.
The parents are not all knowing, they do not design their child. They can only influence his or her behaviour. God designed, created and knew of his creation's future. So there is no excuse.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

So let me get this straight: you kill yourself and go to hell. But that was not your fault at all because you believe God allowed sin to enter into your life?

What?! Ok I'm going to see if I can make sense of that post.

Ok, if god designed and created everything and being all knowing, anything that happens is his fault directly. If he knows the results/outcome of his design and creation then he is to blame.
Just like if I created an RC for which I knew it will go and kill someone but continue to create it anyway.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say. Kinda confused with that post there.
I believe god allowed sin? I don't actually believe in god or sin. So I'm not sure where your going with this.

That was what I was trying to get at.
"First Corinthians 10:13 promises us that God will not permit a greater trial than we can bear." - http://www.gty.org/Resources/Articles/A189
Note that he says "trial." This shows that God's testing us, and it's up to us whether we pass or fail. Being omnipotent, He already knows what our final grade is.
Being omnipotent, He could have just said, "You, you and you are going to hell, while the rest of us be in eternal glory." However, that would make no sense to us at all, and that is why he created the earth to prove that His judgment is sound.

Ok, now answer me this Mr Christian. If god is all knowing, why would he need to test anything if he already knows the outcome? Hmmmm?
Also he doesn't have to prove a damn thing....other than his existence.

RE: Hello!
Why would a trial in which the outcome is known make sense? If the outcome of a trial is known before it is even begun, then you do indeed have a "you, you, and you are going to hell" scenario, the rest is just going through the motions isn't it?

Correct, he doesn't need to test anything. This doesn't mean he wants to. It's like us donating to charities; we don't need to do it, but if feels good when you do.
God has proven that He does exist, but let's save that for another thread, shall we?

A trial which the outcome is known doesn't make sense. However, we don't know the outcome of our trials. Heck, I just might convert to atheism before I die. I don't know this for certain, so the outcome is not known. Only God knows.

So he's doing it because....he feels like it? You know, the more I read, the less sense it makes. Not unusual coming from theists though.

Indeed, I'd like to see this proof. Think most of us here would too.

To conclude, God created us and free will because he wanted to.
I have a quick theoretical question, though. If an atheist says that he has been conversing with God, and it really happened, how can he prove this?
