Hello yall!

Hello yall!
I'm new to the forum and a happy atheist from Brazil.

My family is mostly catholic but my mom never took me to church or cared about religion, she did care a lot about education.

I was never a theist so 'faith' is an abstract idea to me.

I hate labels, but got so pissed with ppl saying that if you don't have God your heart you're evil, that it forced me to
identify myself as Atheist.

I do love people and learning about different religions,

well that's all 4 now.

Salty like the fish I've been slaughtering?

Hope you don't smell like them... welcome Smile
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

Right now I smell great, fish slaughtering on the other hand can make one very smelly...I've also been known to do it more than once, I should know. Big Grin

I am already feeling welcomed, thanks!

Welcome, Salty Amy. I must admit that your name makes me slightly uncomfortable. Humans should never have names preceded by a taste. Big Grin

Correct... you might just get eaten by a titan 0.o

Or a Tevnarox.

And that's assuming you don't crash into an iceberg and sink first!

To be eaten by the fishes!!!!!

And more are born in the hearts of every new believer..lol.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

RE: Hello yall!
I like to learn about religions because of the cultural value, most polular parties in Brazil are somewhat religion related and
I love them all.

I don't mind gods either, I figure the more the merrier...divide and conquer right?

Last time I was in church was to baptise my Godson.

Only time I regularly went to church was in 97 as an exchange student in Arkansas, LDS no less (yeah jackpot)

My grandma was a devout catholic and was very upset with my refusal to do the 1st communion, this went on from the
time I was 7 yers old till 14 years old, she gave up eventually.

The Salty in my name does come from my love of the sea, I can be sweet too. And I wouldn´t mind be eaten by fishes
(or insects) I do rather be dead first tho.

Where do I find meaning? ----> pleasure -----> hedonism

Where do I find meaning? ----> Wikipedia -----> lazy

Depends on what you mean by meaning.
