i USED to rent a website which i had put down several of the 'main/most relevant' "theories" i arrived at,obviously relating my own 'psychosis' to that of berne's 'cary fayton',jesus,perseus,aten akhen,loki,etc etc...
i HAD a 'judas'-an ali g mcdonald,in the first year of my college course. i had a mary of magdalin,a petra oakes[poisonous acorn]-she claimed to be my first girlfriend![back when i was five years old,she was 4...its a long story..obviously!!!]
i heard 'bob'/pat/the 'holy father' ask me "whats in aname?" as i was looking at a pub sign of 'uncle henrys'...old nickname for the devil.as is old nick,which god is turning into 'fallacy'/propaganda with me[young/new nick!!!].. i've read that 'jesus' meant 'gods saviour',whereas 'nicholas' means 'victyory of the people'!

I got to page three of this thread and my brain couldn't take it.
I just have one question:
Why the FUCK do people constantly use the argument that "Christianity spread so quickly" as their "proof" that Jesus must have lived or must have been supernatural?
In an age where mass-media allows the spread of ideas and stories like never before, I think a perfect example of how people can take a completely fictional concept and allow it to overturn their lives is the movie Avatar. Within days of opening, people were getting depressed and talking about committing suicide to be reincarnated on a FICTIONAL planet.
Soon after the Harry Potter took off with its first book, you had a wave of people reading all of the subsequent ones. And dressing up like Harry. And making fanfictions about Harry. And it's gotten to the point that current religions point to Harry as a threat and they hold "music festivals" in which bands pretend to be the bands mentioned in the books. Do you see how ridiculous this might seem to an outsider if they saw this? A copy of a Harry Potter book in most households, the kids parroting things from the story, the discussions of morality and ethics embedded in the story... come the fuck on.
In an age with no X-box or True Blood, what the hell else were people going to talk about? It's absolutely insane to use this argument. Is there a fallacy named for it yet?

forgive me for the content of my threads....i have been aware that Fate rests on me since 17/7/01,it is the events in North London[where i was born actually] that is making 'it' all the more important. i HATE that prick jesus too! why? coz i KNEW,when blinded,the utter bullshit that the bible was....i mean 'star of wonder' for a blinding flash??? even the greeks who lived some 2000years earlier knew that was not possible,hence the weapon of Zeus being the lightning bolt.
what i am trying to point out with this post is,the West bank is the lowest part of land to sea level,there were 12 disciples[6+6],society ever since has been Roman in design,...basically,the 'holy' bible was the work of SATAN,NOT 'GOD'!!!
therefore,all you atheists aren't really[least i hope not] against 'god'[and there have been many of them],BUT it is all due to a hatred of the man jesus. perseus has to be MY favourite 'christ',he slew medusa[leader of a band of preistess who wore masks],ie.del;ivered the greeks from her evil[daughter of satan]...in fact perseus was apparently made King of the greek empire.
this 'god psychosis' which i have is rare in that it occurs to ONE person,at the turn of the century,Eric Berne MD KNEW 'cary fayton' WAS the christ of 1900. Sigmund Freud came from Moravia[present day czech/slovak republics],which is where my 'dad' hired an au pair from when i was 12,he then married her when i was 13.she was only 25,and he 50!she is evil,and slovakia is 60% evangelist,40% catholic---ie.the two religions that believe that EVERYTHING in the scriptures is 100% true...the scriptures ARE and always have been SO WRONG![which is what I can prove,using the case in Berne's book,and of course other historical figures over the past 2000years[which we have all heard of because this is the Age of Information,isn't it???]

Stupidity, I suppose. Somewhere along the line someone told them that xtianity spread "rapidly" so they believe it. It's why I reject "logic." You can create anything you want by stating a false premise and taking it from there.

Well, yeah, there's the debate about it spreading quickly at all - I'm just trying to say that even if it DID it doesn't give shite for credibility.

Forgive if this has been said before but could a possible explanation for why there are no contemporary sources of jesus or resurection simply be due to the jewish leaders at the time? They were trying to stop jesus and his followers. couldnt they have gotten rid of or forbade any writing about him? Just a thought i argue with myself a lot lol
